Walking - We have many seaside and countryside walks nearby and we are only 1 mile from the South West Coastal path
Cycling - This is yet another enjoyable way to explore the local area with many fantastic cycle trails nearby. Cycle to Bideford or along the Bude canal or set out for the famous Camel Trail at Wadebridge for a great ride to Padstow
Golf - There are several nearby courses, including the Bude and Ivyleaf golf courses
Horse Riding - no matter what your ability, our friendly local stables will ensure you have a fantastic day in the saddle
Wildlife and Bird Watching - from our resident snowy owl, "Hedwig" to the hawks, buzzards and peregrine falcons who swoop around the eaves to the roe deer, dormice and foxes who appear in the dusk, Houndapitt is a great place to see some wildlife
Photography - we are perfectly placed for setting up your equipment and capturing some amazing images; the land, sea and skies are constantly changing and the quality of the light is excellent
Sailing - we are 3 miles from Tamar Lakes where you will find a sailing school
