Houndapitt Farm is superbly placed in the Cornish countryside and yet is only three quarters of a mile from Sandymouth beach which is monitored and controlled by the National Trust. A large portion of the surrounding area of Houndapitt is even officially designated an area of outstanding natural beauty. We also get our fair share of wildlife here at Houndapitt, from swallows to our resident barn owl in the summer months.

• Beaches - We offer a superb location to enjoy some of the best beaches in the country, with some of the best Surfing too. We are only 1 mile from Sandymouth Bay (a renowned "secret" surf spot) and 4 miles from the sandy beaches of Bude.
• Fishing - We have our very own, on site course fishing lakes and if that's not enough, there are various other excellent places to fish in the region so don't forget to bring your rod!
• Walking - We have many seaside and countryside walks nearby and we are only 1 mile from the South West Coastal path
• Cycling - This is yet another enjoyable way to explore the local area with many fantastic cycle trails nearby. Cycle to Bideford or along the Bude canal or set out for the famous Camel Trail at Wadebridge for a great ride to Padstow
• Golf - There are several nearby courses, including the Bude and Ivyleaf golf courses
• Horse Riding - no matter what your ability, our friendly local stables will ensure you have a fantastic day in the saddle
• Wildlife and Bird Watching - from our resident snowy owl, "Hedwig" to the hawks, buzzards and peregrine falcons who swoop around the eaves to the roe deer, dormice and foxes who appear in the dusk, Houndapitt is a great place to see some wildlife
• Photography - we are perfectly placed for setting up your equipment and capturing some amazing images; the land, sea and skies are constantly changing and the quality of the light is excellent
• Sailing - we are 3 miles from Tamar Lakes where you will find a sailing school
• Extreme sports - Cornwall is the home of all sorts of adventures; climbing, abseiling, coasteering, kite surfing and more are all available locally
