Course Fishing at Houndapitt Farm

A short distance from the cottages, down passed the play park among the surrounding fields lies our mature course fishing pond. Its is absolutely free to all our guests so bring a fishing rod for your stay!

The pond is stocked with various carp, Golden Tench, golden Rudd common and mirror Carp just waiting for you to catch,

You do need your own equipment and a license.

Once a year we are lucky enough to be visited by a pair of Canada Geese who nest on the small island in the middle of the lake to bring up their young. Birds and insects including large dragonflies and butterflies gather in this area which has become somewhat of nature reserve.

In late 2007 we prepared a larger lake further down the field which when matured a little will be another tranquil spot with a small wooded area to explore.
